However, the 28-year-old has admitted he would love to end Arsenal's 13-year wait for a Premier League title.
And that could include staying beyond next summer.
"I have one more year on my contract. I hope so," he told the Daily Mail when asked whether the club would win the title before he leaves.

"I want to win the Champions League and the title. I see this club as having the potential to win these trophies."

However, Ozil also implied Arsenal must match his ambition if they are to persuade him to stay.
"You can't think we won't win it in the future because we haven't done so in the past," he added.
"We haven't been consistent in the past. We've had great first halves of the season and then not had the same in the second half of the season, or the other way round."
