Mesut Ozil has told Arsenal fans not to believe everything they read in the papers
Mesut Ozil has been locked in contract talks with Arsenal for months but is yet to reach an agreement on a new deal.
Arsene Wenger confirmed last week negotiations with both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have been shelved until the end of the season.
But the Germany international has suggested it is nothing to worry about and hinted he will not leave because he loves the club.

"You can not believe everything that is written," Ozil told German magazine SportBild.
"I just want to say that I still have a one-year contract and I love to run out for this club.
"So now it’s open, so let’s just wait and see what happens."

Ozil missed Arsenal’s defeat to West Brom before the international break with a hamstring injury.
However, he came on as a substitute in Germany's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan last weekend, putting him in contention for Sunday's clash with Manchester City (4pm).
He has made 31 appearances for the Gunners this season in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists.
