Meghan Markle's onscreen lover says he wants to 'vet' Prince Harry over a pint

Actor Patrick J Adams, who plays Mike Ross in the American legal drama, wants to know “his [Harry’s] intentions” towards Meghan, who plays his fiance on the show.

He even fancies a few drinks in a pub with Harry, 32, he said in a US interview.

“Yeah, have a couple drinks,” he said.

“Make sure he knows where his head’s at. That he can take care of her. What are his intentions? These are all the important questions.”

He added: “I would love to do that thing where a big brother gets to meet the guy, vet him a little bit, that process… I think we should go through that process. Make sure he’s up to speed.”

Last week Harry was photographed with Meghan in public for the first time, hand in hand after a dinner date in London. Adams, 35, has starred on the popular US show with Markle, also 35, since 2011.

“We’ve been like brother and sister for a long time. I’m just super happy for her that she found someone that she seems to really be into. We don’t talk about it [their relationship] a lot, obviously there is so much secrecy involved in something like that. I just sort of stay out of it, and I feel like a big brother.”

Suits actor Patrick J Adamsclaims he wants to know Harry's intentions

Adams said he would like to tease her about her Harry, but cannot at this point.

“That’s the problem, you can’t tease her about this ’cause it’s kind of serious… ‘you guys looks like you’re falling for each other’, so you can’t take it too far, but I’m hoping this season maybe I’ll have a little bit more leeway.”

Suits continues its sixth season on Dave tonight at 10pm, with Markle appearing in a daring transparent top as she tries to deal with Mike’s career problems after his release from prison.
