Marvel’s Iron Fist: Netflix drop EXPLOSIVE first trailer starring Finn Jones

Based on the Marvel Comic character of the same name, the official trailer teases the battles that are to come for Danny Rand as he makes his way back to civilisation.

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Rand (played by Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company.

However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Lead actor Finn, who previously played Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones, will use his new found martial arts skills to fight crime, before summoning the power of the fiery Iron Fist.

The fantasy drama will also feature Colleen Wing, played by Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Jessica Fenwick.

Wing will be a great ally to Rand throughout the series, but nemesis David Meachum (David Wenham) and daughter Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) will attempt to stop him in his crime-fighting tracks.

The American streaming series was developed for Netflix by Scott Buck, and will exclusively launch on March 17.

Finn Jones as Billionaire Danny Rand

Made up of 13 hour-long episodes, the soon-to-be hit series is the fourth instalment of Marvel on Netflix.

Disney and Marvel executive Bob Iger has suggested that if Iron Fist proves popular on Netflix, then it is "quite possible" bosses will adapt the script into a feature film.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will later combine with Iron Fist to create The Defenders eight-episode crossover mini-series, launching in mid-2017.

Marvel's Iron Fist premieres on Netflix on March 17.
