Manny Pacquiao says he would happily box Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor has obtained a boxing licence in California and is talking up the possibility of switching from MMA.
However, the two-time UFC champion seems certain that he will face unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather in a mega-fight worth well over $100million (£80million).
But Pacquiao admitted last week that he would take on McGregor in the boxing ring and now his promoter Arum has backed the bout as well.

“Conor McGregor is a good athlete and he is the best at MMA,” Arum told TMZ.
“But MMA and boxing are two different sports
“So it’s a lot of talk, everybody is having a lot of fun about it and sure Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Conor McGregor in boxing.

When McGregor travels for fights, he always needs to carry a passport for his shoes as certain states restrict certain materials. His favourite pair are made from crocodile skin

McGregor is contracted to the UFC, meaning if he were to box the bout would have to be sanctioned Dana White, the company’s president.
And White recently poured cold water on the idea of McGregor facing Pacquiao due to a feud between himself and Arum.

“I don’t have to be involved – I ain’t getting in the ring – but that’s an easy fight for Manny and I would love for that fight to happen,” Arum added.
“[The fight] is in their court.
“If the only impediment to Manny Pacquiao fighting Conor McGregor is that Dana doesn’t like me then I won’t be around.
“I would give Manny the right, the permission to fight Conor McGregor anytime the money was right for Manny.”
