Manchester United have reignited their interest in Lindelof after initially pursuing him in January.
United wanted to sign the Sweden international in the New Year but the form of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo lessened their need for a defender and he choose to stay at Benfica and put pen to paper on a new deal.
But it appears Jose Mourinho will finally get his man later this month.
According to Portuguese outlet Correio de Manha, Lindelof's move to Old Trafford will be confirmed after Sweden's World Cup qualifier against France on Friday June 9.

The deal is expected to cost around £30m, Correio de Manha report.
Earlier this week Lindelof was reluctant to discuss his future, insisting his focus was on Benfica.
“There are rumours that there is always, at all times,” Lindelof told Swedish newspaper VLT.
“I will say the same thing I always do, I have a contract with Benfica.

“I’m still young and I feel I’m developing all of the time, football down there gives me a lot.
“So my answer will always be that I get on very well at Benfica and that’s where my focus is.”
Lindelof's sale means he could become the second player to leave Benfica with Ederson expected to join Manchester City imminently.
