Antoine Griezmann will remain at Atletico Madrid ‘for a long time’, according to president Enrique Cerezo.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.
But Cerezo has moved to cool speculation over Griezmann’s potential departure by claiming he is hopeful that he will stay at the Vicente Calderon.
"I don’t know what the interest from Manchester will be," Cerezo told television show Minuto.
"I can say that Griezmann will be an Atletico player for a long time."

Virgil van Dijk: The Southampton centre-half has been one of the stand-out talents so far this season and Manchester United face competition from Liverpool and Manchester City for the Dutchman’s signature. Although it will come at a price as the 25-year-old recently signed a six-year deal with Saints
Zlatan Ibrahimovic can continue to play until his 40s, according to former coach Michael Andersson.
“Zlatan’s skills fit United very well,” Andersson, who worked with Ibrahimovic at Malmo, told The Sun.
“He always adapts to whatever league he is in. I don’t think him playing until he’s 40 is impossible.
“He has been lucky not to have any serious injuries in his career.
“But it’s not impossible he can play for United for another three or five years.”
