According to the Sunday Mirror, Monaco inserted a bonus clause into Martial’s transfer, stipulating that United must stump up £8.5m (€10m) upon the player’s 25th club goal.

Other clauses in the transfer agreement include an £8.4m fee due when Martial makes his 25th appearance for France, and further money if he is nominated for the Ballon d’Or.
Martial currently boasts 15 France caps, having made his debut in 2015.
United host St-Etienne in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 clash on Thursday.
The Red Devils are seeking a return to the Champions League for next season and, if they fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League, winning the Europa League would be another avenue into the competition.
