Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly wanted Cristiano Ronaldo to join Barcelona
That is according to former Real president Ramon Calderon.
Ronaldo left the Red Devils for the Bernabeu in 2009 but it seems the move didn’t have Ferguson’s blessing.
"The main point as I said before is that the player is willing to leave and is willing to come to Real," Calderon told Sky Sports.
"It happened with Cristiano [Ronaldo]. [Sir Alex] Ferguson is not very keen on Real Madrid and he proved that with an interview a few weeks ago.
"He didn't want him to come to Real and he offered him to Barcelona but the player said 'I want to go to Real Madrid' and that's it. That's why he came."
