Jose Mourinho is ready to splash the cash this summer as he looks to build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League and Champions League next season.
And it seems he wants to get his transfer business done early with Inter Milan forward Perisic firmly in his sights.
Mourinho is keen to bolster his attacking options with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney's futures uncertain.
Reports in Italy earlier today claimed Manchester United had made a £36m bid for the striker but Inter were holding out for between £48m and £52m for his services.

And Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb have shed some light on the details of the contract.
They say Perisic has been offered a four-year deal that would see him pocket £6.1m a year.
Chelsea are also thought to be showing interested in the Croatia international but Perisic has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.
Perisic has been with Inter since 2015 when he joined from Wolfsburg but now looks ready to test himself in England's top flight as well as the Champions League.

The 28-year-old, who netted 10 goals and registered six assists this season, remains under contract with Inter until 2020.
Mourinho said yesterday that he already knows the players he wants to sign and expects executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to make the deals happen.
"He [Woodward] knows since March who I want, what I want, how much I want – he knows everything since March," Mourinho said.
"And now it's for him to work because he will have holidays in August, and in August I am working."
