Antoine Griezmann has admitted he would like to play alongside Paul Pogba at club level
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone insists he is not surprised by the interest in Antoine Griezmann and has suggested he is powerless to stop the United target from leaving the club.
Mourinho is reportedly keen to make the Frenchman his marquee signing in the summer, with the Independent claiming his wage and shirt number have already been verbally agreed.
Asked if he would reject any approaches for the 25-year-old, Simeone said: "I don't tie anyone down, I simply keep working to continue getting better for the sake of the club.
"It is normal that the best teams in the world want him. I am not surprised that the teams who are looking are the ones who can afford him."
Manchester United eye Celtic ace Kieran Tierney
According to The Mirror, United have joined a host of clubs in the race to sign Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney.
Mourinho is said to be keen on signing the £10m-rated defender before the January window shuts, but will reportedly have to wait until the summer to land him.
The left-back position has been a problem for Mourinho all season, having played Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young there at one point.
Tierney, 19, has been in demand since his impressive performance against Manchester City in the Champions League earlier this season.
