Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly sanctioned a new deal for Marcus Rashford.

The young forward is currently under contract until 2020 with United having the option of extending for a further year.

And according to The Sun, Mourinho wants the club to activate the extra year now after being convinced by his recent performances and improved focus in training.

Rashford earns £20,000 a week and his current deal sees him earn around £5,000 a week each year.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is currently on loan with Torino

Chelsea players are urging Antonio Conte to make a move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart if Thibaut Courtois leaves for Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Belgian has reportedly held talks with Real Madrid about a move in the summer.

And The Sun claim some senior players at the club believe Hart would be an ideal replacement if their current No1 turns his back on the Blues.

Hart is currently on loan at Torino after being shown the door by Pep Guardiola in the summer and it looks unlikely he will have a permanent future at the Etihad in the summer.

Express Sport takes a look at some of the best free transfers in the history of the Premier League

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Porto's Danilo Pereira.

The talented midfielder is thought to be on Arsene Wenger's radar and the Gunners had scouts present at Porto's 4-2 win over River Ave on Saturday, Portuguese outlet A Bola report.

Should Arsenal make a move for him this month they will have to meet his release clause of £34.5m.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has backed the Reds to sign Virgil van Dijk.

The Southampton defender has been linked with a move to Anfield, as well as Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months.

Saints are adamant he won't be sold but that won't stop Premier league outfits trying to sign him.

Gerrard told BT Sport: "Who I think we need, I would go and try and bid for van Dijk from Southampton.

"But we've had enough of their players so that will probably go down like a lead balloon."
