Collymore insists Mourinho needs to be honest and tell the ex-Southampton man personally how he feels.
“Whatever decision is taken between the player, his representatives, and United, he certainly doesn’t need so many public kickings from his Old Trafford gaffer,” Collymore wrote in his column for the Mirror.
“I know Mourinho claimed he had already said to Shaw what he was saying in TV interviews, which was why he thought it was OK to repeat it.
