It’s one of those games that everybody wants to play
Juan Mata admits he is desperate to face Chelsea when Manchester United host his former club on Sunday (4pm).
The playmaker is sidelined though after undergoing groin surgery and hopes his team-mates can do the business to boost their Champions League qualification hopes.
“We will fight until the end to be in the top four, and in order to do so we need mainly to get better at Old Trafford, at home,” Mata wrote in his blog.
“We have an opportunity the next weekend against the leaders Chelsea. It’s one of those games that everybody wants to play.
“I hope that things keep going well and I can be back soon to enjoy what I like so much: training and playing football.”
Juan Mata, Antoine Griezmann and Marcus Rashford all feature in our Manchester United News
Antoine Griezmann is set to be offered a new contract at Atletico Madrid – denting United’s hopes of landing him this summer.
Express Sport understands the La Liga giants plan to increase his buy-out clause by £45million.
The France international striker currently has a figure worth £85m inserted in his contract.
But Atletico are looking to bump that up to £130m and hand him wages of £180,000 a week – a rise of £60,000 a week – to ward off United’s interest.
Jose Mourinho has made Griezmann his No1 transfer target but the Red Devils could be put off if the new deal is agreed.

The academy product posted the message he wrote as a kid on Twitter, highlighting his long-term Old Trafford allegiances.
It read: “I hope that my future is very bright in and out of school especially in my career as a footballer.
“I want to have a different lifestyle and make my family and others proud of me.
“I only have one aim in life and that is to be a professional footballer, and hopefully at Manchester United.”
