Anthony Martial missed Manchester United training today – as the confusion over his future rumbles on.

Martial was omitted from the squad for Saturday's draw with Stoke.

It comes after he was impressive in the draw with Liverpool a week before.

Reports from France have claimed he is frustrated and confused by his omission and his seeming inability to get a run of games under Jose Mourinho.

Martial suffered a dip in form at the start of the season but has looked something like last season's breakthrough star in recent weeks.

Prior to the opening of the January window his agent claimed he was in talks with Sevilla over a loan move although Manchester United are not willing to let him go.

And today's absence from training has sparked more confusion over his role in Mourinho's side.

Goncalo Guedes is reportedly saying his goodbyes at Benfica ahead of clinching a move to Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old is said to be set for a £26million move to United as Mourinho looks to increase his options since the departure of Memphis Depay.

The winger is being dubbed the next Ronaldo and has scored five goals so far this season.

Sean Goss is set for a medical at QPR after a fee was agreed for a permanent transfer.

The midfielder will travel down to London for test and to discuss personal terms.

Goss, 21, joined United aged 16 but failed to make a first team appearances.

He arrived from Exeter for around £100,000.
