The Red Devils sit sixth in the table, two points off fourth-placed Arsenal, and 14 adrift of leaders Chelsea.

Manchester United are in good form in the league having won 3-0 win over Leicester last time out – taking them 15 to games unbeaten in the top flight.

But Jose Mourinho’s side will face a tough test juggling four different competitions this month with five games scheduled in the next 15 days.

United host Watford tomorrow in the league before Saint Etienne pay a visit to Old Trafford in the Europa League five days later.

They then turn their attentions to a fifth-round FA Cup tie with Blackburn on February 19 with the return leg against Saint Etienne on the 22nd.

United’s final game of their busy schedule ends with a trip to Wembley for the EFL Cup final against Southampton on Sunday 26th.

Jose Mourinho wants to give players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic a break in between training

And in preparation for this month, The Sun claim Mourinho has eased up on United’s daily training sessions to avoid his team suffering fatigue.

He is concerned the likes of 35-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t have enough time to recover in between games and is taking the necessary steps to reduce the chances of his players falling short in the end of season run-in.

Some double-training sessions have already been scrapped and mornings at Carrington will now be focused on tactical shape and short games instead of fitness.
