Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hit out at Shaw in a critical ramble earlier this month.
The Portuguese boss explained why he hadn’t considered Shaw available for selection.
“I think he has a future here but Manchester United cannot wait. We need the kids to grow up,” Mourinho said.

With a managerial record like his, who’s going to argue with his methods?
Ince on Mourinho
Shaw has since played for United and lasted 61 minutes in the 3-0 win over Sunderland last weekend.
Mourinho praised the England international for a “solid performance” at the Stadium of Light.
But Ince is not convinced with the manager’s methods – although he won’t argue with the two-time Champions League winner.
“There’s clearly an issue between Jose Mourinho and Luke Shaw,” Ince said.

Mourinho has been publicly critical of Luke Shaw (right) in recent weeks
Former Manchester United player Paul Ince says he would have handled Shaw differently
“As a manager, I always felt you had to keep that sort of thing in-house.
“You shouldn’t air your dirty laundry in public, it’s better dealt with internally than externally.
“I can’t speculate as to why Jose decided to do it in the public eye but, with a managerial record like his, who’s going to argue with his methods?
“Sometimes it works, sometimes it won’t. Maybe it’s motivation for Shaw or it could just be a simple kick up the backside. “That’s Mourinho’s way of working. He gets criticism for that from time-to-time but, if that’s the way he feels he needs to do it, and get the best out of Shaw, and it works, then he’s done his job.
“Shaw’s been hung out to dry in public and now he needs to prove himself not only to his boss, but to everyone watching as well.”
Paul Ince was speaking exclusively to the Paddy Power blog.
