Loose Women SLAM Tom Jones and Priscilla Presley romance as a ‘business arrangement’

The Welsh crooner and the ex-wife of Elvis Presley stepped out for a spot of dinner last night, which in turn sent the rumour mill into overdrive.

And, while the panel of Loose Women ladies congratulated both stars for finding love in their later years, Janet Street-Porter suggested Priscilla has an ulterior motive.

“When she was on this very show we winkled out of her an astonishing statement that her Elvis, all the times they’d been together, he’d never seen her in her underwear and she only entered the bedroom more or less fully clothed,” the sceptical panelist sighed.

“I don’t know if Sir Tom Jones is hoping this is going to go any further, but it doesn’t exactly suit his image,” she continued.

“I’m going to be really cynical and say maybe it’s a business arrangement because she was promoting her Elvis from beyond the grave tour. I’m just saying, maybe Tom will take over?”

Gloria Hunniford, who also brought her eight-week old puppy onto the show, seemed more hopeful: “The thing is, I think they go way back to Vegas days because Tom is always saying on The Voice UK that he met Elvis, so obviously he admired him and Elvis was so huge in Vegas at the same time Tom was.

“I think they’ve known each other for a long time and Tom’s probably a deep, deep fan of Elvis and he just wanted to talk about Elvis.”

Loose Women were divided over Tom and Priscilla's dating rumours

Their mixed bag of comments come after a source close to the pair claimed Tom and Priscilla were “courting”.

“There is a spark between them but they are taking it slowly. It really is early days but they get on so well," an insider told The Sun.

A friend added: "Tom has had a difficult year with Linda’s death and Priscilla has been an amazing support."

When asked by the newspaper about Priscilla, Tom said: “We have been friends for a long time. She’s a lovely lady. We do enjoy our nights out together.”
