These seals were sharing kisses and hugs underwater off the coast of Northumberland
These smitten seals were pictured cuddling up off the coast of Northumberland earlier this week.
Photographer and diving instructor Adam Hanlon snapped the puppy-love pair as they shared a loving embrace near to the Farne Islands.
The South African snapper, who has taken underwater photographs for the last 15 years, said the female actually began the encounter by flirting with him and his diving group.

It appeared to be quite tender and intimate moment
But her protective partner soon caught wind and quickly nipped her brazen behavior in the bud.
The cute couple then shared a gentle hug and, according to 50-year-old Adam, even sealed the deal with a kiss.
He said: "We witnessed the seal's antics for about half an hour.

"On this day, there were a large number of seals, but one female in particular seemed very interested, and kept getting close to us and nipping us.
"The reason soon became clear when a large bull seal arrive and joined the antics.

"At first, she seemed to be trying to drive us away, but as the bull seal became more comfortable, she seemed to use us as a way to make him jealous.

The female began the encounter by flirting with the diving group
"It appeared to be quite tender and intimate moment, with the female nestling in to the male's chest and them both using flippers to hold each other.
"As we watched, the seal's romance became more intense.
"We watched them go through an elaborate courtship, chasing and nipping at each other's tails.
"There was a lot of what we humans would describe as holding and cuddling."
