Van Dijk has been heavily linked with an exit from Southampton this summer after impressing in the first half of the season under Claude Puel at St Mary's.
The Dutch centre-back missed the last four months of the campaign after injuring his ankle at the beginning of the year.
That hasn't put off potential suitors though and Manchester City are reportedly preparing to pay more than £50million for the 25-year-old, offering him £180,000-a-week in wages.
Former Newcastle player and Liverpool insider Quinn believes van Dijk is worth the money which has been mooted for him and hopes Pep Guardiola doesn't been Jurgen Klopp to signing him.
