According to Sky Sports, Mendy has chosen Manchester City over Liverpool, with an official deal to be formalised in the coming days.

10:40: Liverpool’s new chief executive Peter Moore has promised funds to improve the squad this summer but insists they will not be drawn into a buying frenzy just to match their big-spending rivals.
While Manchester City are set to take their summer outlay to £75million with Benfica goalkeeper Ederson joining Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva – the Reds have signed free transfer Chelsea youth striker Dominic Solanke.
Moore said: “What I have learned over the years is that it is not how much you pay but what you get.
“It's not about saying 'They've spent £100m so we will spend £100m'.
"I'm not looking at my competitor – let's call City a competitor – spending this, therefore I need to spend that regardless of the quality of the players. That makes no business sense to me.
"Listen, we may spend £100m. Who knows? But it won't be because they spend £100m.”

10:00: European transfer guru David Amoyal believes Liverpool stand less than a 50 per cent chance of signing Naby Keita and Virgil Van Dijk this summer.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to significantly strengthen his squad ahead of the Champions League with the pair expected to cost upwards of £80million.
Amoyal thinks Leipzig’s refusal to sell their best players leaves Liverpool with a stiff task for Keita, but suggests they could take advantage of their previous business with Southampton.
He told ESPN: “Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing Keita on board from the Bundesliga, and though the midfielder's current club, RB Leipzig, are stating that they'll keep their best players, they could sign RB Salzburg's Konrad Laimer as Keita's potential replacement.
“Klopp is also targeting Van Dijk; considering their recent deals with Southampton, Liverpool have an advantage over the competition as long as they're willing to invest significantly.

09:30 Emil Forsberg’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has revealed his client is ready to test himself at a big club.
The Mirror recently claimed Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in signing the RB Leipzig star, who racked up 19 assists in the Bundesliga last season.
And his agent has given the Premier League duo increased hope of securing his services.
Cetinkaya told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet: "I will never comment on which clubs are involved, but there are big clubs who are very interested in Emil.
"Obviously RB know that if they want to keep Emil, they have to make sure he's always happy. He has repaid the club 10 times over. It might be time to test himself at one of the big clubs.”
