Liverpool are determined to beat Manchester City in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

That is according to The Sun, who claim Liverpool will be willing to offload Daniel Sturridge in order to facilitate a move for the Gabon international.

Klopp, who worked with Aubameyang at Dortmund, will be hoping to secure a reunion and pip City to his signature.

The report adds he will cost around £40million.

Liverpool are looking beat rivals Manchester United to the signature of Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton.

That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim Liverpool are hopeful of wrapping up a deal after having an initial £2.5million bid knocked back by Forest last month.

But the Reds will face competition from United, who have been impressed by his displays in the Championship.
