Riza DurmisiGETTY

Riza Durmisi only joined Real Betis last summer

It was reported in the week that Liverpool were tracking Durmisi as a potential transfer target.

James Milner has valiantly covered the left-back position with Alberto Moreno out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.

And the Liverpool boss wants to bolster his defensive options with the club having sent out scouts to watch Durmisi in action for Real Betis.

The 23-year-old only joined the La Liga outfit in the summer but he is happy to listen offers should Liverpool make a bid.

"I know about Liverpool’s interest. But I do not know how practical it is," Durmisi told Danish newspaper BT.

"There will always be a lot of talk when you play in one of the world’s best leagues. I am in no way desperate to get away (from Real Betis).

"If other clubs are ready to pay, and if Betis will sell me, I will of course listen to the offer. This also applies to Liverpool. Anything else would be idiocy."

The Denmark international reportedly has a £17million release clause.
