Jurgen Klopp preparing for busy summer window
That is according to former midfielder and lifelong Liverpool supporter Micky Quinn, who has close links at Anfield.
Liverpool could be in the market for a new striker as they prepare for life without Daniel Sturridge, who is unhappy with his lack of game time this season.
The Reds are also said to be looking to bring in Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, currently on loan at Torino, to replace Simon Mignolet.

Daniel Sturridge could be on his way out of Liverpool in the summer
Jurgen Klopp's side have fallen behind in the title race recently, having failed to win any of their five Premier League games since the turn of the year.
And, according to Quinn, the German manager knows he needs to strengthen his squad to improve his side's title hopes next season.
“What I know is that Sturridge could be on his way,” Quinn told Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT.
Joe Hart could replace Simon Mignolet at Liverpool
“Mignolet could be on his way. In could be coming Joe Hart and like I said there’s a lot of money to go on five to six high profile players. Read into that what you want.
“They’re going to be very positive in the summer. Klopp knows what he needs as well.
"That squad this season is not strong enough to win the league. Hopefully it’s strong enough to be in the top four.”
