Liverpool have made Ryan Sessegnon their top summer target to fill that role and are reportedly confident they can beat their rivals to his signature.
The 16-year-old has caught the eye of the Premier League's top clubs with Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all expressing an interest in Sessegnon.

But Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic insists the England under-19 international will not be leaving Craven Cottage anytime soon.
"Sessegnon will not be in the transfer market in the summer," he said.
Sessegnon has been a regular in Fulham's starting XI this season after breaking onto the scene in August.
