Jurgen Klopp refused to blame his players for Liverpool's FA Cup defeat to Wolves

Liverpool were sent tumbling out of the FA Cup – suffering a third straight home defeat in the process.

Goals from Richard Stearman and Aston Villa flop Andreas Weimann were enough to send Wolves through.

And even Divock Origi’s late goal could not force a replay.

Many fans have vented their fury at the performances of several Liverpool stars.

But Klopp insists he is to blame for their surprising fourth-round exit.

“Im responsible for the lineup,” he said.

Richard Stearman celebrates scoring for Wolves against Liverpool

“Its not allowed, as I understand it, to blame the players, to say ‘you didn’t do that or didn’t do this’.

“Of course you see players playing and you learn a lot about players in situations like this.

“It’s my responsibility. I am responsible for this performance, 100 per cent.”
