Fans want to get their money on Lewis Hamilton retiring

Lewis Hamilton was beaten to the world title last year by five points when Nico Rosberg finished third in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

But the German retired five days later, and now one survey shows British fans think Hamilton could do the same.

Data collected by BiggestFreeBets.com showed that of 2,402 Brits, 16 per cent of them wanted to bet on Hamilton retiring.

The survey was conducted to find out which controversial markets British gamblers would most like to spend their money on.

Hamilton's retirement was one of the most popular sporting bets but other fields gained plenty of traction too.

Nearly half of the respondents wanted to bet on the length of Donald Trump’s presidency and 33 per cent on Cristiano Ronaldo coming out as gay.

Meanwhile, 21 per cent of those asked were interested in betting on Kylie Jenner to release a sex tape.

BiggestFreeBets.com editor-in-chief Ethan Rowe said: “It’s interesting to see what Britons would like to bet on given the chance.

“These are very hot topics and things we probably all wonder about from time to time, or even mull over with our mates.

“We’re sure, if it were to be an option, many people all around the world would love to place bets on how long Trump will hold the presidency.”
