Pedraza’s parent club Villarreal had already paid Spanish second-division side Lugo £300,000 to cut short the terms of his loan deal.
Leeds are said to have funded that cancellation and had agreed in principle to buy Pedraza for £8.5million in the summer if they secure Premier League promotion.
It is added that Leeds are still pushing to sign West Ham forward Ashley Fletcher as well as Norwich City’s Sergi Canos before Tuesday’s 11pm transfer deadline.
