Pontus Jansson is wanted by both Southampton and Leeds
The Swedish centre-back is due to complete a £3.5m permanent move from Torino after spending the season on loan at Elland Road.
But Saints boss Claude Puel is ready to blow the Championship side out of the water by offering three times more for the 26-year-old.
Jansson has been a rock at the back for Leeds since joining in August.
He has played 32 games for Garry Monk's side, helping them on a charge for promotion.
Jansson last week took to Instagram to try and reassure fans he wants to stay at Leeds.
He wrote: "Even if people talk, i have never been happier than right now..4 more games and lets start it on monday! See you at Elland Road!"
The post went down well with Leeds fans with one writing: "Pontus you played class against Newcastle and every game."
Another wrote: "you have been the rock we've needed for years, you sir are the hero we've all been waiting for."
