Real Madrid are looking to become the first team to win the trophy back-to-back whereas Juventus have lost their last four finals, not winning since 1996.
Lineker is expecting a close game at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and thinks Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored eight goals in the quarter and semi-final wins, can ruin Buffon's big day.
"It's going to be a great game, two giants of world football, certainly European football," he said on BT Sport.

"Loads of great players on display, I think it's going to be a memorable occasion and hopefully a spectacular final.
"I think it's tight, it's tough to call. It's kind of an even money guess of which team is going to win it.
"I think it would be a nice story (for Juventus to win), a romantic story at the end of it and I'm sure a lot of neutrals would love to see him (Buffon) get his hands on the trophy.

"That's kind of the one thing missing (from his career).
"Knowing Ronaldo, (he will play a) big (part). He tends to rise to the big occasions, he scored a hat-trick in the quarter-final and a hat-trick in the semi.
"Surely he can't do that in the final! But you never know with him, he's a phenomenal player and an unbelievable goalscorer."
