Martial hasn't featured in Manchester United's last two fixtures but was handed a surprise start through the middle against Wigan today.
The 21-year-old has scored just twice in the Premier League this year after exploding on to the scene last season with a debut goal against Liverpool.
But under Jose Mourinho, Martial has started just nine league games and the United boss recently challenged the France international to prove his worth to the team.

Martial's poor form has led to question marks over his future, but Mourinho has reassured the player that his performance against Wigan will not define his future at United.
"Not a last chance, a good chance because the players also compete between themselves to be in the team," said Mourinho.
"Today was the day for Jesse Lingard to stay out, last week was Martial to be out and next week will another one out, depending on how they perform."

Manchester United have announced their team to face Wigan in the FA Cup
The FA Cup fourth round has already seen it's fair share of upsets this weekend with Liverpool losing to Wolves and non-league sides Lincoln and Sutton beating Championship opposition.
And Mourinho gave a very simplistic answer when asked how his side can avoid going out of the competition.
"We have to try to play better than our opponents. We have to try to have the same motivation as they have, and we have to try to score more goals than them," he said.
