After Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho put all his eggs into the Europa League basket as he sought Champions League qualification.
And the gamble paid off as United beat Ajax in Stockholm in the final earlier this evening to secure the only trophy missing from their cabinet and become Britian's most decorated club.
Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the goals as United clinched a 2-0 win which rounded off a terrific campaign that saw the club end up with two pieces of silverware.

And after what he considers to be his most trying campaign, the Portuguese tactician can't wait to go on holiday.
"We totally deserved the win. I am so happy to see the boys with the crutches with the trophy and now I am on holiday," he said.
"I don't want to see any international friendlies, I am selfish. I can't do it.
