Daniel Cormier could fight Jimi Manuwa on July 29
Cormier successfully defended the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship for the second time earlier this month when he beat Anthony "Rumble" Johnson.
The 33-year-old promptly retired in the wake of the defeat, bumping British fighter Manuwa up to fourth in the rankings.
And he could be the challenger for the title later this summer when Cormier holds his third defence.

"July 29 I will be in Anaheim and I'm bringing my UFC title with me," Cormier said.
"The question is which one of them is gonna get it.
"Is it gonna be [Jon] Jones or Manuwa?"
Jones is currently serving a ban after testing positive for a banned substance last summer.
The 29-year-old has only lost once in his professional MMA career, having been disqualified from a bout against Matt Hamil in 2009.
And he also has a win against Cormier on his record, having defended the light heavyweight title successfully in January 2015.

However, Manuwa is determined not to let Jones jump straight back into the division.
“He's not going to be jumping in front of me in the line for this one," Manuwa told Express Sport.
“F**k that! You can’t come off a ban for steroids and jump straight into a title fight.
“That’s no good.
“I’ve been busy working my a*** off and knocking people out.
"I deserve the title shot."
