Jerrelle Okoro is hoping Manchester Giants can build off of their long-awaited win
The Giants claimed their fourth league win of the season as they defeated Cheshire Phoenix 78-68, having led by as many as 26 points at one stage.
Okoro netted 14 points in his side’s first triumph since November as they move level on points with Cheshire as well as Leeds Force.
“I think we played well as a team against Cheshire for the whole 40 minutes, which was important,” he declared.

“We were disciplined for a majority of the game which helped push the lead and maintain it for the duration.
“It’s not easy for a team to go through a losing streak as we did but we have not questioned our ability to compete in this league for a single minute.
“We have had a lot of growing pains but that is part of the process," added the British forward.

Despite their 4-17 league record, the Giants are only four wins adrift of the top eight with a late season run required to boost their Play-Off hopes.
“The win helps us know that what we are doing is keeping us on the right track and we can only go one game at a time,” said Okoro.
“Hopefully we are able to get more wins under our belt."
