Carragher believes Klopp should not have started Henderson and Can against Southampton
Liverpool needed to score at Anfield to have any chance of progressing to the EFL Cup final at Wembley next month and the Reds had a number of chances.
But Shane Long’s late strike ended the Reds hopes and gave Southampton a 1-0 win which sent the saints to their first major final since 2003.
Jordan Henderson and Emre Can both started against Southampton
And Carragher believes Klopp’s midfield duo were at part to blame for the defeat against the Saints.
“Can and Henderson, as a two, does not work,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
