Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch a new iPad within the next few weeks.
Reports concerning the launch of new iPad models have become increasingly common within the last few months as consumer demand for new Apple devices continues to grow.
Now, it seems that the unveiling of Apple’s next generation of iPads could be just weeks away.
That’s according to a new report from Apple World, which noted an interesting development in the online ordering page for the iPad.
Clicking on the ‘Check Availability’ option for the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 on Apple’s website apparently now shows the date of April 4th, suggesting this is when it will land.

The report also claims that the new iPad launch could be the curtain-raiser for the opening of the company’s new headquarters.
The new Apple Park campus in California is also set to open in April, so the launch of a new iPad could be the ideal way to welcome the world to Apple’s new home.
The eye-catching ring-shaped building will open its doors to 12,000 staff next month, having originally been envisioned by Steve Jobs as a centre for creativity and collaboration.

Designed in collaboration with Foster + Partners, Apple Park replaces five million-square-feet of asphalt and concrete with grassy fields and over 9,000 native and drought-resistant trees, and is powered by 100 percent renewable energy.
But the state-of-the-art office includes a 1,000-seat auditorium which has been named the Steve Jobs Theatre, and would be the ideal setting for a new device launch.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has also previously said that the MacBook Pro 2016 launch event, held at Apple’s old headquarters Infinite Loop 1, would be the last event to be held in that location.
Apple has not refreshed its iPad model family for some time
Rumours of a new iPad launch have been circulating for some time as competition in the tablet market heats up.
No less than three iPad devices are expected to be unveiled as Apple looks to relaunch into the tablet market.
This includes an entirely new edition of the iPad featuring a 10-10.5in screen that stretches almost to the edge of the front panel.
Some sources have said that Apple will remove the Home Button on its device, and reduce the bezels around the display – except for the bezel containing the FaceTime camera at the top of the tablet, which is said to remain.
Apple is also expected to be planning an update to both the existing 9.7in iPad and 12.9in iPad Pro models.
This would primarily be through a major hardware improvement, with the latter device being upgraded to a tweaked version of the A10 chip that currently powers the iPhone 7.
The smaller new iPad would probably be a version of the A9 chip from the iPhone 6S smartphone, made by Samsung.
