Those who use Google Chrome at work really need to download this browser extension
Google Chrome is the most popular web browser on the planet – comfortably keeping competition from Microsoft and Apple at bay.
The lightning-fast internet browser includes a plethora of hidden mini games, as well as a broad web store of extensions to bring new features to the app.
And a new extension dubbed NOPE might be one of the most useful yet.
We've all been there. You're settled in the office, desperately trying to plough through some work, when that co-worker appears next to your desk to strike up a conversation.
You know, the one who can't read the signs and work-out whether or not it's a good time for a good chin-wag about the intricate developments from last night's episode of A Place in the Sun: Home or Away?.
The new browser add-on wants to help with annoying co-workers
Once you have downloaded the browser add-on, it lives within your browser window under a small inconspicuous symbol.
When you want to make your excuses, simply tap the icon and NOPE will call your mobile phone.
Apologising profusely to the co-worker hovering around your desk, you answer the phone, only to hear a recorded voice at the other end of the line say, "Hello. On the count of three put your hand to your mouth as if you're hearing bad news."
Look up from your phone – co-worker still there?

The Google Chrome extension fakes a phone call to your mobile or office phone
NOPE has another suggestion from the other end of the phone, "Repeat these words after me in a serious and concerned tone: 'Yes of course I can talk now, what's the matter?'"
And just like that – you're alone.
Simply hang-up the fake call, and get back to work.
If the clever ploy didn't work, it might be time for another hasty phone call. To the nearest recruitment agency, for example.

NOPE is the nifty creation by US firm Breather.
The app allow users use to search for rental space for "off-sites, meetings, spillover space, and more".
It's almost like an AirBnB, but for office workers or freelancers looking for private workspaces outside of their home and office.
Stay on the line and the fake phone call from NOPE acts as an advertisement for Breather. But that seems like a small price to pay for the relief it could bring.
