Eight teams competing for the ICC Champions Trophy will share £3.7m ($4.5m)
The International Cricket Council has announced a prize money pool of around £3.7m ($4.6m) for the 2017 Champions Trophy, with each competing team receiving a share of the pot.
The total prize money is an increase of around half a million dollars compared to the 2013 event, with every team guaranteed roughly £47,000 ($60,000) for participation.
The eight teams are split into two groups, with host nation England drawn against Australia, Bangladesh and New Zealand while reigning champions India face South Africa, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
