The German midfield maestro, who has yet to sign a new deal, has frustrated Gunners supporters with his languid style.

As a forward, I would want him behind me, let him play through all the rubbish
But Wright thinks the 28-year-old is very gifted and any forward would love to have him playing behind them.
“He does what he does,” Wright told BBC’s Match of the Day.
“It’s his demeanour that upsets people, because he throws his arms up when he loses the ball.
“When he gets into good positions like last night and the way he picked out Walcott through a crowd of players, that’s what he does.
“It’s unfortunate for him because of his languid style, he gets a lot of stick.
“I feel for him, but I’d still play him because as a forward, I would want him behind me, let him play through all the rubbish.”
Arsenal’s win saw them leapfrog Manchester United into fifth spot.
