The bold comments came from a man from Nottingham who called LBC to express his anger over the potential increase in prices since the Brexit vote.

The caller who went only by the name of Alex, fumed over the potential consequences of the EU referendum and slammed the working class in his rant.

In his speech the caller admitted that he would “happily pay double” on items, in order to “teach the working class a lesson”.

He said: “I voted remain but personally I am more than happy to pay more in order to teach the working class a lesson about learning about the things they are voting on before they make a decision which currently they do not do at all.

An angry Reaminer blasted the working class and blamed them for Brexit

“I would happily pay double in order to make them understand that in the future before they need make a decision the need to look at who it will effect the most.”

LBC host Maajid Nawaz was immediately shocked by the caller's comments. But suggested something good could come from Brexit as the UK prepares to strike a quick trade deal with the US.

The furious caller however claimed the working class will face problems from Britain leaving the single market.

Prime Minister Theresa May revealed in her Brexit plan last Tuesday that the UK would be leaving the single market when it leaves the European Union.

The enraged caller fumed over working class people moaning about their current situation and blasted them in his vicious tirade.

He added: “Working class people generally, and I say this from a working class background, somebody who has educated themselves and realised what they need improve to get out of where I was.

“Working class people are where they are because either they don’t fight for more from their current employer or they don’t bother to educate themselves enough to get out of where they are.

“Now working class people have abandoned unions, so they have nobody to fight for them on their behalves, all they want to do now is to blame everybody else for their problems, and this is where Brexit has come from.”

“This country has been rich for over 300 years, we have been stinking rich, in fact we have been richer than ever under the EU, but the trouble is we made lots of millionaires and lots of billionaires and the working class just sat there and let it happen.”
