Will House of Cards return for season 6?
Netflix has not yet confirmed whether Frank and Claire Underwood will return for another season.
But with early reviews hailing season five as one of the strongest to date, another run seems near-certain.
Robin Wright (Claire) has already given the first hints about the direction of season six.
The actress, who also serves as an executive producer and director on the show, claimed that Donald Trump “has stolen all of our ideas” for the next instalment.
Speaking at the Cannes Film festival, she quipped: “I’ve got to see the hope somewhere,” adding that she thinks Michelle Obama “would make a great president”.
Kevin Spacey (Frank) believes that the series can compete with the real-life political circus.
“There's been a lot of commentary about how we can't compete [with Trump] and that it's not going to be as interesting and as crazy as the real world,” the actor said, adding: “My answer to that is, just you wait.”

Reviews have focused much of their attention on Robin Wright, teasing that Claire’s trajectory is the most compelling of the season.
Since the show’s beginning, fans have speculated that the First Lady could eventually go full Lady Macbeth and push her husband over the brink.
Throughout the series, and especially in the latter seasons, Claire has quietly become the one pulling the strings.
As Wright explains: “Claire and Francis are equivalent as far as their power, their union and the plot.
"Francis is an orator, a poet, a demonstrator. Claire is an ego that sits in the back and directs him, but they are partners on the same plane."
House of Cards: Season six seems near-certain after season five won glowing reviews
The original BBC House of Cards series ended with Claire’s equivalent (Elizabeth Urquhart) ordering her husband’s (also named Francis) assassination.
Some critics have noted that season five has a feeling that the Underwood’s story is coming closer to its denouement.
If season six is the last, could it end with Claire’s actions leading to Frank’s demise? Or could she go further, and kill him by her own hand.
Who is in the cast of House of Cards?
Season five saw veteran actors Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott join Spacey and Wright as new characters Jane Davis and Mark Usher.
Neve Campbell (Leann Harvey), Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper) and Joel Kinnaman (Will Conway) also returned to the show, along with Jayne Atkinson (Catherine Durant), Paul Sparks (Thomas Yates) and Dominique McElligott (Hannah Conway).
