Three undercover officers were seen leading a man away from beyond the train tracks at Petts Wood station in Bromley, south London.
Filmed from the other side of the tracks the tall man is seen with his hands in cuffs behind his back as the three officers calmly lead him away.
Astounded travellers waiting for a train captured the moment he was arrested after they witnessed police chasing a man with a large knife.
One woman, said: “Police at Petts Wood station just seen chasing a man with a huge machete.
“2 men have been arrested and the machete taken.
“Too close to home for my liking.”

Another, added: “All gone off in Petts Wood.
“Plain clothes OB taking very large knives from the back of a motor, 2 fellas running on the railway lines.”
Shocked passengers watched police run after the men
Another man said: “Had a man in a town near me called Petts Wood, run across tracks welding [sic] a machete.”
Scotland Yard, said their officers had stopped two men in a car near the station and two 17-year-olds were arrested.

One man was grabbed by the police
A spokesman, said: “On Tuesday, 6 June at approximately 18:04 hours officers stopped two males in a vehicle near Petts Wood train station.
“Two 17-year-old males were subsequently arrested, one on suspicion of a drug related offence and another for possession of an offence weapon.

“They are currently in custody at a south London police station.
“The arrests that were made have no connection to any terrorist activity or investigation.”
