Holly, 35 – who presents This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield, 54 – was reading out some tweets from viewers who had previously skived off work, as they discussed "National Sickie Day".
Reading out one shocking post, Holly said: "Sharon…" before she quickly stopped herself from telling the nation the person's full name.
Open-mouthed Holly was then left speechless for a few seconds, before she continued to say of the excuse that the viewer gave: "One day we called in and said we'd both been involved in a car crash on the way to work," as Phillip looked on in shock beside her.
This certainly isn't the first time Holly has made a mistake live on air, with her accidentally sitting on Phillip's lap while hosting the show at the end of last month.

The beauty was attempting to read the auto-cue and sit down on the sofa at the same time, but it was clearly too much for the presenter to handle so early in the morning as she ended up making her way onto her co-host's lap.
Not one to keep the mishap on the down low, Holly squealed and burst out laughing, as she attempted to explain what had happened.
Phillip quipped: "Let me tell you what happened there," as the pair both struggled to get their giggles under control.
