The mother-of-three bid a farewell to viewers after believing the show had come to an end, until Phillip Schofield, 54, shocked her with the news there was still “two minutes to go”.
Clearly stunned, Holly turned to see what she thought was a unicorn, but was actually Celebrity Big Brother hero Tony the Pony who waltzed into the ITV studio dressed in an array of ridiculous party gear.
“Oh my god, is it a unicorn for me?” Holly Willoughby gasped. “Do I get to keep him?”

“It’s Tony the Pony,” squealed a particularly excitable Phillip, before the four-legged guest casually sneezed on Holly’s pink velvet shoes.
But before the presenter had time to panic over her ruined footwear, she was gifted with an almighty birthday cake, decorated with chocolate shots of tequila which she proceeded to down within seconds.
Holly, 35, also paid tribute to her “incredible” friend Tara Palmer-Tomkinson during today’s show, after she was found dead at her London home yesterday.

Holly and Phillip were also joined by Tara’s close friend Ivan Massow who suggested the socialite was in a “dark place” before her passing.
