Phillip, 54 – who presents This Morning alongside Holly, 35 – discussed the whole thing with Ryan Clark-Neal during his entertainment segment on the ITV show.
He raged: "It's stolen property, it's theft! It's a private conversation," as Holly added: "It's really unfair."
Phillip continued: "Then it gets down to the fact you can't talk to your mates in the pub. If it gets reported back, then that means we'll all forever have to be careful what we say."
Holly went on: "I think he should get a knighthood as well, for what it's worth," as a shocked Phillip screamed: "I can't believe he didn't already have one!"

The pair's comments come after it was reported that the hackers behind the leaked emails demanded one million euro (£860,000) before the emails were published.
It has been claimed that the messages – which reportedly show Beckham moaning about his lack of a knighthood – were leaked when Doyen Sports refused to pay up.
Police in Portugal, where the firm has an office, have been investigating the attempted blackmail for a year.
David's spokesperson has spoken out about the whole thing, with him releasing a statement which read: "This story is based on outdated matieral taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server and gives a deliberately inaccurate picture."

He continued: "David Beckham and UNICEF have had a powerful partnership in support of children for over 15 years. The David Beckham 7 Fund specifically has raised millions of pounds and helped millions of vulnerable children around the world. David Beckham has given significant time and energy and has made personal financial donations to the 7 Fund and this commitment will continue long term.
"Before establishing the 7 Fund, David had supported UNICEF and a number of other charities over many years, including donating his entire earnings from PSG during his time playing there.
"David and UNICEF are rightly proud of what they have and will continue to achieve together and are happy to let the facts speak for themselves.”
