Distraught relatives of Robert Godwin Snr, 74, described the elderly victim as “a good guy”, hours after a gunman, suspected to be Steve Stephens, 37, shot him dead.
The murder happened on East 93rd in Cleveland. Police said the shooter broadcasted the deadly shooting live on his social media page and claimed to have committed other homicides.

Mr Godwin was reportedly heading home after an Easter meal with his children when he was attacked, according to CNN, but few other details are known.

The victims son said: “He'd give you the shirt of his back and I'm not just saying that for these cameras. This man right here was a good man. I hate he's gone. I don't know what I'm going to do. It's not real.”
Steve Stephens is alleged to have posted horrific footage online which showed him getting out of his car and executing the victim in the street at random.
The family reacted to the news that their relative had been murdered
Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams told reporters the suspect allegedly did not know Godwin when he reportedly chose to attack him, and police have yet to release a motive.
The suspect claimed to have committed 13 other homicides in a separate Facebook Live video, according to the BBC, but Williams said police knew of no other victims at the moment.

On Twitter, users shared condolences with Godwin's family, with many wanting to contribute to a GoFundMe page for the family.
The distraught family of Mr Godwin have asked people not to share the highly distressing video of him being killed.

It is believed it remained on Stephens' Facebook page for at least three hours before it was taken down.
Ryan Godwin, who identified himself as Mr Godwin's grandson, tweeted: “Please please please stop retweeting that video and report anyone who has posted it! That is my grandfather show some respect.”
Another woman called Sarah added: “I can't watch that video of my grandfather getting killed. that man is sick, please stop posting it”.
