The terrifying armed gunman wearing a pig mask
The armed robber, who eventually surrendered to a police SWAT squad, pointed his handgun at startled guests and fired several shots in the air during the attempted raid at the Bellagio Hotel just after midnight.
One, a 21-year-old called Kira, said she emerged from a nearby toilet to see the raider standing outside the store, which contains millions of pounds-worth of high end watches.
Kira said it appeared he was “keeping guard,” with a sledgehammer in one hand and a gun in the other.
Police later confirmed he may have had two or more accomplices, who are thought to have escaped empty-handed.

She added: “He was screaming at people, pointing his gun, making sure that anyone who was close just got away.

Outside in a crowd that had formed on the Vegas Strip, she said she saw the same “stocky man, dressed all in black” being led away by police.
Chris, 50, from Las Vegas, said he had just taken a break from playing poker when he thought he heard two shots ring out.

A spokesman for the Bellagio, a popular destinations for British tourists, said there had been no reports of any injuries.
