Ibrahimovic has been a revelation for Manchester United since joining from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last summer.
The Swedish striker scored again on Sunday to help the Red Devils beat Sunderland 3-0.
He now has 28 goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Graeme Souness has named Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his player of the season
And Souness believes the 35-year-old's form means he is the Premier League player of the season.
"I said at the start of the season that Zlatan had to play well, had to be the main man for United and then United would have a good season as I thought they would struggle to get goals – and that is how it has turned out," Souness told Sky Sports.
"I would make him my player of the season simply because he is 35 years old.
