Code hidden in the APK of the latest version of the Google app, version 6.11.13 beta, hints at the ability to make payments with the Google Assistant very soon.

According to XDA, who delved into the Google app to find the new payment code, the updated Google Assistant would be capable of handling credit cards.
At this early stage, it appears the Google Assistant will be able to link with delivery services and online shopping sites.
That could allow users to track shipments from online stores by simply asking the Assistant where your packages are.

Amazon Echo already allows customers to make purchases on Amazon with a simple voice command to the virtual assistant.
Google Home owners might soon be able to do the same.
Elsewhere, the latest code also suggests that Google Assistant will feature “shared devices,” perhaps allowing for better syncing between smartphones, tablets and Google Home devices. It is unclear when Google will roll-out the update to its talkative new Assistant.
