A number of matches from Saturday have been rescheduled for today following rain in Paris that stopped play in the afternoon.
Gael Monfils took a 6-5 first-set lead over Richard Gasquet into today – and the latter eventually withdrew through injury.
Chung Hyeon lost to Kei Nishikori after clawing back to 2-2 from two sets down.

Venus wasted a handful of break points there too. She hits a backhand at the net long and her tournament is now teetering on being over.
Dominic Thiem has already broken Horacio Zeballos on Suzanne Lenglen. But the latter breaks back immediately. 2-1 to Thiem in the first set there.

Defending champion Garbine Muguruza is out of the French Open after a spirited display from home favourite Kristina Mladenovic.
Mladenovic got the crucial break in the third set and saw out the match on her serve.

What an encounter on Court 1. The match ebbed and flowed and went into a 14th match in set five before Carreno Busta got the job done.
Meanwhile, Venus Williams has begun a sterling comeback to draw level at 5-5 in her first set with Timea Bacsinszkyon after being 5-1 down.
Garbine Muguruza is 1-6 6-3 0-1 against Kristina Mladenovic, who has just broken the defending champion on Suzanne Lenglen.
And Jamie Murray is in double action alongside Brazil’s Bruno Soares. They are 5-4 up against Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas on serve in the first set.
15.15: Venus Williams has not enjoyed the strongest of starts out there on Philippe Chatrier.
The American has twice been broken and is 5-1, staring at a lost first set already.
Timea Bacsinszky isn’t messing around. The 30th seed from Switzerland is keeping her cool and has got into a rhythm on her serve.
Garbine Muguruza, meanwhile, has just broken Kristina Mladenovic to go 4-1 up in their second set. That match should go the distance now.

14.54: Venus Williams is preparing to face Timea Bacsinszkyon Philippe Chatrier after Richard gasquet withdrew from his match with Gael Monfils.
Monfils was 4-3 in the third set when Gasquet retired following a Monfils ace. Gasquet’s miserable season continues.
As for Monfils, he will now play Stan Wawrinka tomorrow.

Rafa Nadal has beaten Roberto Bautista Agut in three sets to sail into the French Open quarter-finals.
This was as routine as it gets for Nadal. He broke when he needed and waited for the Bautista Agut mistakes. It was vintage Nadal.
Next up on court Suzanne Lenglen is Garbine Muguruza v Kristina Mladenovic. After that Dominic Thiem plays Horacio Zeballos.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic will have to wait until the afternoon to face Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet are one set apiece on Philippe Chatrier, with Venus Williams and Timea Bacsinszky set to play straight after.
13.25: That’s another set for Rafa Nadal as he toys with opponent Roberto Bautista Agut.

And Elina Svitolina has just won her clash with Magda Linette 6-4 7-5.

Nishikori went into the decider looking wobbly but recovered his serve to take the match 7-5 6-4 6-7 0-6 6-4.

John Isner faces a shock defeat to Karen Khachanov, meanwhile. The American is two sets down and 4-4 in the third.
